The ports of Marinas del Mediterráneo are almost full this summer with a 93% of occupation

The Estepona sports port, La Duquesa and Marina del Este consolidate themselves as references in nautical tourism with 2,5 million euros of turnover.

The Mediterranean Marine Group, concessionaire of the Estepona marinas, The Duchess, A manilva, and Marina del Este, In Almuñécar (Granada), has closed the summer season with a positive balance, both in economic and activity terms. During the summer months, the mooring billing amounted to 2,5 million euros, reflecting the good evolution of the sector and the role of the ports managed by the group as tourist and economic engines in their respective municipalities.

Besides, These facilities have a direct impact on employment, con 50 direct jobs and more than 450 indirect, figures that reflect the weight that these ports have in the local economy and in the daily life of their municipalities.

The occupation media of the three marinas reached the 93%, with a average length of stay 26 days per boat. On the whole, an average of 11 daily transits, with a predominance of sailboats, followed by motor boats and catamarans, which demonstrates the diversity of types of boats that the facilities attract.

Among the main nationalities of the sailors highlight the spanish, british, French, German and Dutch, consolidating once again the international projection of the Costa del Sol and the Costa Tropical as top-level nautical destinations.
